MARSA ALAM DIGITAL WORKSHOP 2007
The 2007 Digital Workshop in Marsa Alam has concluded
A week dedicated to underwater digital photography concluded at the end of June in Marsa Alam.
The group of workshop participants was able to gain experience and improve their underwater photography techniques in the splendid waters of Marsa Alam, discovering, among other things, wonderful seabeds and a lush aquatic life.
A must-see was the splendid Abu Dabab Bay, where we encountered the dugong, took photographs of the large green turtles, and were pleasantly surprised by a pair of guitar sharks just a few meters deep.
The workshop wasn't just about underwater photography: the theory lessons from the PADI® Digital Underwater Photographer (DUP) course were an integral part of the event. Underwater white balance and flash management were just some of the topics covered, while comparing underwater shots and making subsequent corrections allowed everyone to quickly progress technically.
In the water, thanks to the indispensable assistance of the Diving Ocean staff ( www.divingocean.com ) and the use of OceanReef underwater communicators ( www.oceanreefgroup.com ), we were able to achieve excellent results right away. Thanks to the opportunity to receive verbal assistance while immersed in the water, the children enrolled in the workshop were able to achieve their goal: many beautiful photos and wonderful memories.
To round off a week dedicated entirely to scuba diving and underwater photography, we encountered a pod of dolphins. An unforgettable moment captured, of course, by our cameras.
