ScubaZone 83 – Adaptation

In life, we've adapted to everything, often without even realizing it. Yet, said like that, the word "adaptation" doesn't always sound right: sometimes it evokes sacrifice, compromise, surrender, or submission. However, we only need to shift our gaze toward nature to discover a completely different meaning.

There, adaptation becomes wonder.
Deep-sea creatures that thrive under impossible pressures, fish that brave frigid waters, species that transform the lack of light, oxygen, or food into evolutionary opportunities. For marine biologists, these worlds are perfect laboratories: from the deep to zones with extreme thermal and salinity gradients, to remote ecosystems where evolution writes its own rules. Each habitat forges solutions we never imagined.
