A rare specimen of fish regaleco, oh king of herrings,
It was filmed in the depths of the Gulf of Mexico at a depth of over
450 meters. The video was not made by
Michele Geraci, as one would naturally think at those depths, but from a
remote-controlled robot.

The regaleco is a deep-sea fish that can reach the
11 meters long, considered by many to be the longest bony fish in the world today
world. In Japan, they are considered the 'Messengers of the Palace of the God of the Sea'
and are considered to be harbingers of powerful earthquakes.
