If you are looking for an ideal destination to spend your holidays between diving with large predators and white Caribbean beaches, the answer is Bahamas.
The Bahamas is an island nation made up of over 700 islands that extend over an area of almost 14.000 km on the Tropic of Cancer, between the coasts of Florida and Cuba.
The spirit that distinguishes the Caribbean, with its colors, its scents, its music and its tranquil lifestyle regulated by the rhythms of the sea, is enhanced by a turquoise frame that caresses the pristine beaches of this tropical paradise.
Among the main destinations of the archipelago, Grand bahama It is certainly the most interesting from a scuba diving perspective. With its wonderful coral reef, numerous wrecks, caves, famous blue holes, and unforgettable dives with sharks and dolphins, it offers countless opportunities to discover the Caribbean seabed, according to the tastes and experience level of each diver.

In the southern part of the island, between Freeport and Lucaya, stands the Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach resort, where the diving network Scuba Sur manages the diving center: a high-level PADI diving center – as per Scuba Sur standards – framed by a bay of golden sand overlooking transparent waters.
The diving center, completely independent and perfectly integrated into the landscape with its typically Caribbean architecture, features a reception area, classrooms, a dedicated area for guest equipment, and all the necessary rental gear. A powerful catamaran specifically designed for diving and a fast inflatable boat can transport up to 30 divers simultaneously to the island's most beautiful dive sites.

Ethridge wreck, a wreck located at a depth of 18 to 20 meters, ideal for macro photography enthusiasts; Plate Reef, with its splendid coral reef, canyon, and small explorable caves; Pretenders wreck, a small wreck lying on a sandy bottom between 12 and 14 meters, full of colorful pinnacles, where sharks, moray eels, and lobsters are common sightings: these are just some of the most renowned dive sites reachable daily with Scuba Sur boats.

The island is also a popular destination for snorkelers; for this reason, Scuba Sur organizes boat trips with expert guides who accompany guests to admire the wonders of the Caribbean from the water's edge: Fish Farm, Lucaya Reef, and Peterson Cay National Park are among the sites where snorkeling excursions are organized.
The diving staff is international, and also includes resident Italian instructors, with years of local experience.

Scuba Sur's decision to open a center in the Bahamas is part of a project to establish a high-quality international diving network offering five-star diving holidays in the world's most beautiful seas: from Sharm el-Sheikh to Gran Canaria, and now to the Caribbean. Another Scuba Sur center was recently opened on the island of Fuerteventura, another popular destination for Italians.
Grand Bahama is also easily accessible with direct flights from Italy: during the summer, the tour operator Alpitour offers charter flights from the main airports.
