I was born in Latina on January 23, 1970. The sea has always been present in the important moments of my life, but only in recent years have I begun practicing water sports: scuba diving came by chance in 2006, and the direct relationship with water immediately became a powerful channel of introspection and communication.
Since June 2009, I have been participating in FIPSAS underwater photography competitions, initially with a compact camera and then, from March 2010, with a reflex camera with a housing. During this period, always supported by my wife Maria Cristina Di Palma as a model and assistant, I have achieved excellent results:
– September 2009: Italian Underwater Photography Champion in the Digital Compact Cameras category
– October 2010: I confirmed myself as Italian Underwater Photography Champion in the Compact Digital category and I became Italian Champion in the Team category with my club mate Stefano Proakis
These results allowed me to join the FIPSAS Underwater Photography Club in 2011.
In 2010 I also started participating in various photography competitions, obtaining encouraging results such as 2nd place in the Black-and-White category at the “Golden Dolphin” International PhotoFestival 2011 and the Honorable Mention in the Divers category at the “Deep Indonesia” 2011
