DIVEROSS was born in 2009 within Plastic mechanics, an Emilia-based company with over 40 years of experience in the production of molds for technical articles in plastic and thermoplastic rubber.
Lugli Rossano, the company's director, thanks to his passion for the sea and underwater photography, founded the first Italian brand of transparent polycarbonate camera and video camera cases in the early 1980s; there is no more suitable material, if processed correctly.
A little about the company
Plastmeccanica is spread over a covered area of 6500 m2 and was founded in 1967 with the aim of designing, creating moulds and producing thermoplastic material products; we follow the customer throughout his journey, from
first idea and the development of the 3D design, the creation of the prototype, the execution of the injection mould and the production of the finished product, with relative assembly, pad printing or hot stamping if requested and
final packaging, all according to customer specifications.
In 2000, we achieved Company Quality System Certification in compliance with the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 standard for the injection molding of thermoplastic materials. We believed in this achievement to ensure we could offer our customers ever-increasing reliability. This certification has been maintained and updated over the years.
Our experience now spans most of the product sectors that use plastic products, and we can certainly offer them valuable support by participating in the optimal solution to customer needs, up to assuming full responsibility for the projects.
Mold production is entirely entrusted to our in-house tooling department, staffed by highly experienced personnel and equipped with modern machine tools. This department's task is also to ensure a
constant maintenance of all equipment used in production, as well as prompt support should any modifications or extraordinary maintenance to the molds be required.
The molding department consists of 24 injection molding machines, with a thrust ranging from 70 to 1200 tons, some equipped with robots for cycle optimization. These are state-of-the-art machines, capable of producing items weighing between 0,5 and 12000 grams. Among these, two are
equipped with double injection unit for co-molding.
Over the years we have acquired particular experience in the moulding of transparent materials such as polycarbonate for food and medical use, filled and non-filled technopolymers with high mechanical characteristics,
details in double material or color.
To complete our service, we perform in-house pad printing, hot stamping, insert placement, and both partial and complete assembly. Over the years, Plastmeccanica has distinguished itself for its versatility and willingness to help its customers create plastic products that meet their exacting requirements.
After a long experience in the underwater field with the creation of housings
For polycarbonate cameras and camcorders from a well-known brand owned by Plastmeccanica, the company decided to focus on the production of waterproof cases under the HPRC brand. Today, it boasts nearly 30 models of various sizes, competing directly with the industry's leading manufacturers. HPRC cases are produced in-house, from mold construction to molding, assembly, and packaging. Each stage is subject to stringent quality controls to ensure their reliability.
After a few years of separation from the underwater market, Plastmeccanica is back in the game with a new range of products that combine past experience with technological and design innovations combined with maximum ease of use.
A passion for the sea and a desire to offer scuba diving enthusiasts new photo/video equipment have led owner Rossano Lugli to create a new line of cases and accessories with numerous new features designed to make life underwater ever easier for those passionate about the underwater world.
This is the goal that DIVEROSS sets itself in the world of underwater imaging.

Today Diveross focuses its experience on the production of
cases for SLR cameras. The innovation of this range lies in the maximum
attention to detail as well as the reliability of the product that comes
tested and guaranteed up to a depth of -80 m. and the introduction of
several important technical aspects, which allow both the user
both professional and amateur users, easy to use.
Diveross thanks to the collaboration with the major camera manufacturers

At Diveross we try to satisfy you in every way.
Let's go into a bit more detail
The standard equipment on all DRP series products consists of
in the body and case cover, made with injection molding of
Makrolon polycarbonate, handles with soft-touch part that increases grip
during use, 1,5x magnifier, camera mounting shoe,
flash connector with 5-pin socket, standard flat port, set or spare,
safety strap, grease box for gold, instructions and certificate of
testing.

In addition to this feature, the case has two bushings
self-tapping M6 in the lower part of the body, thanks to these it is possible
fix any type of bracket, battery packs for lighting, systems
to ballast thanks to which it is possible to modify the trim in the water.

The handles have a universal T-connection at the end
(T1 type) where it is possible to attach flash arms, lighting, brackets
balancing; we can supply this T-connection upon customer request
in the central part of the body to possibly fix a pilot light which
makes focusing easier in low light conditions.

customer send us the case for modification)
We have various portholes, with flat or spherical lenses, various extensions for almost
all the lenses on the market from all the manufacturers: it is sufficient

All metal parts are obtained by turning, some
parts are in chromed brass, others in AISI 316 stainless steel, the springs are in

sides of the case, both once inserted close thanks to a

All portholes and extensions can be easily assembled and disassembled

We have devised two systems for moving the zoom,
one manual (MANUALZOOM) and the other motorized (MOTOZOOM)
The first one consists of a rotating knob positioned on the porthole and a ring

The second one works electronically: two buttons on the back of the case

The trigger lever can be oriented at the customer's discretion with a system of

We have recently created three useful replacement kits for
avoid annoying shipments of equipment and the related waste of time for the
our customers; with these kits we give every user the possibility to
replace damaged or worn parts yourself at home.
The three replacement kits are:
1 – Replacement lens kit for flat porthole

This kit gives you the possibility to independently change the
flat port lens, both the standard 60mm and the long 80mm one. It comes
supplied with a methacrylate lens and a glass lens, in addition to the o-ring and the
ring nut with a special key for tightening. Replacement is very simple,
the important thing is to follow the instructions and for safety, after the replacement
of the old lens, test the case in water without the
camera inserted to verify correct replacement.
2 – magnifying glass replacement kit

This kit gives you the ability to replace the magnifying glass
of the DRP100 and DRP200 cases in a few simple steps; the kit is
composed of a magnifying glass and an O-RING which, after having inserted it into the
correct position prevents the spare part from slipping out. It is important, after the
replacement, that a test of the case be carried out with the magnifying glass
replaced without the camera inside to verify correctness
replacement.
3 – flash connector replacement kit

This kit gives the user the possibility to replace
independently the flash connector and the board with the gold pins that goes on the
camera. The kit consists of the external connector, the wire, the base with the
pin, a ring nut and a plastic cable gland. For correct operation it is

carry out an initial test of the case in water without the camera inserted
to check that the accessory is correctly mounted.
As a type of camera lighting we produce the
custody for a flash terrestrial from Nissin, a well-known manufacturer
of Japanese flash.

DRL200 is a very practical and versatile underwater flash: with a
water guide number of 11 and its multiple functions allows various
usability, as well as actual operation in TTL mode with Canon,
Nikon, Olympus and Panasonic. The case is made of transparent polycarbonate and contains
inside a flash produced by Nissin, the Di466 model, which can be
also removed and used by connecting it to your camera outside
from the water; it is possible to set it completely underwater because all the controls
are brought to the outside via convenient buttons. The connection is of the
Nikonos 5-pin; the flash can be set to sync, TTL and slave modes.

A feature of our cases that we are proud of
is the extreme ease of use and the possibility for the user to be able to
assemble the handles, portholes and various accessories without the aid of any
tool. In fact, they have been designed so that their assembly takes place
through mechanical interlocks, clearly equipped with safety devices to increase their
reliability. This feature does not penalize the user by having to

Good morning,
I know this article is old, but I'm looking for a Diveross brand wide-angle porthole. It's no longer available, but just in case, I'll try my luck with you.
Great site otherwise, I love it!
